When it comes to high school football rankings over the last 10 years, one school has bragging rights and it is a very familiar name — St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.). They are the only school that has finished ranked in the MaxPreps Top 25 every year over the last decade, including two No. 1 finishes in 2019 and 2022.

IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) checks in with the second-most at eight. They have finished ranked in the MaxPreps Top 25 eight consecutive years and the Ascenders won their only MaxPreps National Championship in 2020.

Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), Miami Central (Miami) and St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) tied for third finishing ranked in the MaxPreps Top 25 seven times over the last 10 years.

Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) headlines the six schools that have finished ranked six straight years, including two No. 1 finishes in 2017 and 2021. The Monarchs are the only team that has finished ranked in the top-3 five consecutive seasons.

Florida has had the most teams finish in the MaxPreps Top 25 with 41, followed by Texas (40), California (34), Georgia (17), Ohio (15) and Arizona (12). They are the only six states that have had at least 10 teams finish ranked in the MaxPreps Top 25 over the last decade.

In total, 25 different states along with Washington, D.C. have had at least one team finish ranked in the MaxPreps Top 25.

Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming are the states who have not had a team finish ranked in the MaxPreps Top 25 over the last 10 years.
